Taymouth Castle, Dairy stands in Perth and Kinross as a 19th Century dairy, not a distant castle hall but a working kitchen where cream separated, butter formed and hunger answered. It may have smelled of warm milk, wood smoke and river air, with hands moving quickly before heat spoiled the day's work. The castle loomed above, yet this small building fed the household and measured wealth in jars, not gold.
