Not marked on OS 1836 or 1876 eds. Situated in rough, wet, mountainous terrain. Small circular drystone-built structure (int. diam. 1.5m; H 1.65m) of beehive-type construction, roofed internally by two large flat slabs. Low entrance at SW (H 0.47m;Wth 0.6m) roofed by two lintels (the upper now broken). Richardson (1939, 34) noted a 'chimney on either side'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
