Sunday Well in County Kildare was a living ritual site where people gathered for patron days before memory faded. In 1972 the well sat hidden beneath a concrete cap and iron railings in poorly drained pasture, no longer remembered by locals. The forgetting did not kill the well; it redirected the well. Water still moves under the pasture, waiting for hands reckless enough to listen.

According to the OSL (Herity 2002, 56 (164)), ' … 'Sunday Well' … was formerly frequented and … a patron was held at certain periods.' In 1972, the well, in level, poorly drained pasture, was found to be covered with a concrete cap housing an iron cover and enclosed by iron railings (SMR file).
