On a gentle NE-facing slope in pasture. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3834). A slightly curved fence or palisade (L 20m) represented by 19 post-holes with three other possibly associated post-holes that were dated to the Early Bronze Age (2122-1938 cal BC (UBA-12234)). A cluster of three pits c. 8m to the S yielded an Iron Age date (382-206 cal BC (UBA-12233)) and there were several other clusters of pits in the vicinity that remain undated.
