Detached four-bay cast- and wrought-iron market shelter, dated 1899, with open front. Engraved stone shield reads: "In memory of/William Perceval Esq. M.D./who died Jany 4th 1899/this Market Place/has been erected by his friends/as a token of the affection/and esteem in which he was held/by all classes/during the 54 years that/he practised in Stradbally/and to perpetuate the memory/of his unselfish devotion/to duty, his large charity/and his bright and/kindly disposition/August 1899".
