One chamber lost its walls, gave up a pillar, and let Johnstown keep the bishop carving instead of burying the whole archive. The church tower now stands beside a cloister fragment from Bective abbey, a font from Follistown, and another font from Kilcarn, turning an ordinary parish into a small museum of broken places. What is missing is not nothing; it is the reason the remaining stones can still be seen.

A pier (Wth 0.32m; H 0.83m) from the cloister arcade at Bective abbey (ME031-026----) is displayed on the outside of the church tower at Johnstown Roman Catholic church on the S side. It is decorated with an image of a bishop. The font from Follistown (ME025-041001-) is nearby, and the decorated font from Kilcarn (ME031-003002-) is inside the church. This stone fragment dates likely to the 12th or 13th century and originates from the Cistercian Bective Abbey, reflecting medieval monastic architecture and religious iconography.
