Stone Circle

In the townland of Drumskinny, County Fermanagh, a circle of thirty-nine stones and a small cairn has marked the land since 2250 B.C. People may have used the ring for prayer, star-reading or calendar work, while the nearby knife-ridge name suggests a sharp place on the horizon. The stones still stand in an accessible complex of five ancient circles, waiting for a visitor to walk among them and imagine the hands that arranged them.
