Stobo Castle is a cremation site and bronze armlet deposit in the Scottish Borders, not a standing stone palace. The land may have witnessed fires, burial and the sudden loss of bright metal, while the living people and their reasons vanished before any written record.

Stobo Castle is a 16th-century tower house located in the Scottish Borders, built by the Stobo family. It is remembered for its historical association with the Border Reivers and its well-preserved architecture.
