Stobhall Castle and its surrounding walls stand in Perth and Kinross with sundials that measure daylight but refuse to reveal when they were made. The castle may have belonged to someone proud enough to mark hours on stone, yet no name or date has survived to credit them. Shadows still fall across the walls at noon, doing what sundials do everywhere: pointing at the sky and forcing people to admit they cannot control time.
