Slack Wood to Castlehill Mine Section carried coal and men through Fife in the 19th Century, linking Stirling, Alloa and Dunfermline by iron rails. The line cut through living land, pulling treasure from below and carrying it toward markets, ports and homes. That is why the rails mattered: they turned distant strength into daily use.
