General Wladyslaw Sikorski (1881 - 1943), Prime Minister of the Polish Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Polish armed forces, 7 November 1939 - 4 July 1943.
Erected in honour of General Władysław Sikorski, a key leader of the Polish government-in-exile during World War II, the statue commemorates his role in preserving Polish sovereignty and military resistance after the 1939 invasion. Sikorski commanded the Polish armed forces and led efforts to maintain Allied cooperation, notably through the Sikorski–Mayski agreement with the Soviet Union in 1941.
