Standing Stones of Newton

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Standing Stones of Newton as Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early Neolithic period, around 3500–3000 BCE. It represents a significant example of early communal burial and ceremonial architecture in Scotland.
