What is recorded here
On Bougghill, a standing stone still rises from the grass, waiting for the last person who measured its shadows to return. It has watched County Antrim through every changing sky, keeping a quiet record of feet, storms and forgotten conversations. The stone does not need a date because it has never stopped being present.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as STANDING STONE: THE BOUGHHILL STONE, BOCHILL STONE. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
