Two gallans stood on Michael Cronin's land in 1943, one rising five feet while the second sank into the earth. They watched the southwest Kerry fields until people forgot their exact spot. The land keeps its own ledger, writing some chapters in stone and erasing others with grass.

In 1943, 'two gallans, one measuring 5ft by 1ft by 6ins [1.52m x 0.3m x 0.15m] and the second embedded in the ground' were recorded on Michael Cronin's land (ITA). These stones, which were situated two fields to the NW of another possible standing stone-pair (KE097-047----), have not been located. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
