STANDING STONE in Lisboy

STANDING STONE

What is recorded here

Lisboy still holds one standing stone from the prehistoric dark. Whether it marked a boundary, a burial or a warning to careless travellers, the answer has drowned in centuries. The stone remains scheduled and untouched, waiting for someone patient enough to listen before touching.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as STANDING STONE. Recorded period: PREHISTORIC. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
