Kilgobnet lost two standing stones in the late 1970s while a third still stands north of the pasture. The removed stones stood near Tullynascally stream, erased from local sight but preserved in survey entries. Their absence makes the remaining stone seem larger, as if it absorbed the memory of the others.

This possible standing stone is not marked on the OS maps. It stood in gently sloping pastureland, about 200m E of Tullynascally stream, and was removed in the late 1970s along with another standing stone (KE065-039----) which was located c. 150m further E (local information). However, a third stone, located a short distance N of these, remains in situ (KE065-038----). The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
