What is recorded here

One stone still stands in Gransha, pointing east and west across level ground that slopes gently toward Lough Swilly. Maps once claimed two stones, but the second has vanished without a trace, leaving the first to hold the sky alone. It is easy to imagine people walking past it for centuries, reading its shadow at sunrise or simply knowing it was there when the coastline felt uncertain.

A standing stone (DG029-038001-) orientated E-W. The 3rd edition of the OS 6-inch map notes two stones here but there is no visible trace of the second one. Situated on fairly level ground sloping gently W to Lough Swilly. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
