What is recorded here

No stone remains visible in Gortyarrigan, County Donegal. The lost marker stood on reclaimed land facing south, but even the first official survey failed to picture it. Forgetting has done what weather and ploughs could not: it has erased the stone completely.

There is no trace of the 'Standing Stone' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on reclaimed land on a S facing slope.
