What is recorded here

Fán holds one of Ireland’s last true standing stones, a vertical mark in County Kerry when most elsewhere became walls, cups or hidden chambers. It does not need to fit a known purpose; it must still be seen. Maybe it pointed to water, a road, a burying place or the edge of a field. Maybe it is the reason the place is called Fán.
