What is recorded here

Carrowjames holds a standing stone, but no human story has emerged to give it life. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning. It still stands while the people who set it have disappeared. What is known is only that the stone remains and the field belongs to Carrowjames in County Mayo.
