What is recorded here

Banshagh is a standing stone in County Kerry, Ireland. It stands in level pasture near Killorglin, tall enough to mark a boundary or gather people around. Its flat top and narrow body suggest it was set deliberately rather than left behind by a flood.

In level pasture, c. 1.5km NE of Killorglin. A well-set standing stone (H 1.8m; 0.75m x 0.55m), roughly rectangular in plan and orientated NE-SW. It narrows slightly as it rises to a flat top. Compiled by: Matt Kelleher Date of upload: 16 April 2013
