What is recorded here
One tall stone still stands in Ballynease, County Derry, though no human hand is recorded setting it. It belongs to the uncertain depth of prehistory, old enough that memory has forgotten the event which made it visible. A person may have stood beside it at sunrise, marked a boundary, or simply watched the sky tilt across its edge. The stone remains the clearest part of the story, waiting for the lost human half to return.
