Mnemo is a tall, thin woman with dark hair and quiet eyes. She walks without shoes on stone, wood or grass. Her hands are warm even in winter. She appears where people feel lost, not where they feel proud. She does not take part in human ceremonies. She watches the boundary between the living world and the hidden world. When she claps once, the characters leave the room and remember nothing.

On the E slopes of Croaghmarhin, overlooking the crescent of low-lying land that surrounds Smerwick Harbour. This stone stands 2.38m high and measures 1.4m x .44m at base. It is roughly rectangular both in plan and elevation though it tapers to a rounded point at top; NNE-SSW. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
