The *Staff of Life* was a British steamship lost in 1877 after striking a rock near Llandudno, Wales. The vessel sank during a storm, resulting in the loss of all 14 crew members and significant cargo; it is remembered as one of the region's more tragic maritime disasters of the 19th century.
