St Vigeans

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records St Vigeans as Cross Slab (pictish), Pictish Symbol Stone (pictish). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St Vigeans Cross Slab is likely from the Pictish period (circa 4th–9th century AD) and features both Christian and Pictish symbols, suggesting a transition in religious or cultural expression. Such stones were often used for commemorative or territorial purposes and may have been associated with early Christian worship or local folklore.
