This blue commemorative plaque records: Codwyd Eglwys Sant Tomos oddeutu 1180, ac ynddi mae bwa cangell Normanaidd gwych. Cysegrwyd yr eglwys i St Thomas a'Becket fel capel anwes i Eglwys Priordy'r Santes Fair ac yna fe'i hadferwyd yn nechrau'r 19eg ganrif. Recorded plaque organisation: Monmouth Civic Society.
St Thomas's Church in Monmouth was originally constructed around 1180 and features a fine Norman font. The church was dedicated to St Thomas Becket as a chapel within the Priory of Our Lady and was restored in the early 19th century.
