St Ninian's Well, Upper Barr

St Ninian's Well is associated with St Ninian, an early Christian saint and missionary linked to the conversion of the Picts in southern Scotland. Holy wells dedicated to him were often believed to have healing properties, particularly for skin ailments and general well-being, and were sites of pilgrimage and ritual washing.
