St Machar's Cross and St Machar's Well

St Machar's Well is associated with St Machar, a 6th-century Irish saint and bishop who is traditionally credited with founding a church in Aberdeen, Scotland. The well and cross are linked to early Christian pilgrimage traditions, with the water believed to have healing properties, particularly for eye ailments and general well-being.
