St Laverance's Well is associated with St Laverans (or Lavrans), a 7th-century Irish saint venerated in parts of Scotland and the Scottish Highlands. Traditionally, the well was used for healing rituals, particularly for curing skin ailments and ensuring safe childbirth, with offerings of coins left as tokens of gratitude.
