St John's Well, Ordiquhill

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records St John's Well, Ordiquhill as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St John's Well is traditionally associated with St John the Baptist and was likely venerated for its healing properties, particularly for ailments related to the eyes and skin. Holy wells dedicated to St John were commonly visited on St John's Eve (23–24 June) for ritual purification and blessings.
