St Fillan's Well in Kilfillan is associated with St Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer who is said to have founded a monastery in the area. The well was traditionally visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was a site of pilgrimage and local Christian devotion.
