Mae'r eglwys a'r capel presennol yn dyddio yn oli'r Canol Oesoedd. Fortress of Cybi. This 1,700 year old Roman Fort is the historic heart of the town. It is named after Saint Cybi who established a church here in about 540 AD. The present church and chapel date back to the Middle Ages. Y Daith. Roedd Sant Cybi yn genhadwr yn Eglwys Geltaidd a deithiodd ymhell cyn setydiu yma. Mae'r gwaith celt dur yn dangos ei daith o Iwerddon i Gymru, fei yi disgrilli yn hanes "Bywyd Sant Cybi". The Journey Saint Cybi was a Celtic Church missionary who travelled widely, before settling here. This steel artwork depicts his journey from Ireland to Wales, as described in "The Life of St. Cybi".

St Cybi's Church stands on a site historically significant since 540 AD when Saint Cybi established a church here; the current structures date to the Middle Ages and commemorate St Cybi, a Celtic Church missionary known for his extensive travels before settling in Wales.
