St Colm's Well is associated with St Colm (also known as Columba of Terryglass), an Irish monk and missionary active in Scotland during the 7th century. The well is traditionally believed to have healing properties, particularly for eye ailments, and was likely a site of pilgrimage and Christian devotion in medieval times.
