St Bride's Well is associated with St Bridget (Brigid), a widely venerated early Christian saint linked to fertility, healing, and poetry. Holy wells dedicated to her often feature traditions of water healing, particularly for women's ailments, and are sometimes visited at significant life transitions such as birth or marriage.
