St Anne's Well, Ladykirk

St Anne's Well is associated with St Anne, the mother of the Virgin Mary, and like many holy wells dedicated to her, it was traditionally visited for fertility and healing. Such wells were often sites of pilgrimage and ritual, particularly on St Anne's feast day on July 26th, where water was collected for blessings and curative purposes.
