South Ronaldsay, Weems Castle may be an Iron Age broch, though the idea still wavers like a shadow on wet grass. If stone rings truly formed there, people lived inside a small circle of fire and storm while the north sea threw itself against Orkney. The castle name comes later, perhaps born from shape or memory rather than fact.
