Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Sms V81 [final Location]: Sinclair's Bay, North Sea as Destroyer (20th Century)-(1922). SMS V81 was a German WWI destroyer (Type V99) that was scuttled in 1919 following the Armistice, later broken up, with remnants ending up in Sinclair's Bay, North Sea. It had no recorded lives lost at the time of its final sinking, and its significance lies in its association with the post-war disposal of the German High Seas Fleet.
