SMS G40 was a German torpedo boat scuttled in Scapa Flow, Orkney, on 21 June 1919 during the internment of the German High Seas Fleet after World War I. It was one of 52 ships deliberately sunk by its crew under order of Rear Admiral Ludwig von Reuter, resulting in no confirmed loss of life but the loss of a significant wartime vessel.
