What is recorded here
Smithy 2 in Castlemartin was a Post Medieval blacksmiths workshop where local metalwork entered daily life. The name suggests a second forging place in the same area, perhaps because demand outgrew the first or a family moved the trade. Fire, hammer and judgment still lived inside that boundary, shaping tools for the surrounding land.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Smithy 2, Castlemartin as Blacksmiths Workshop from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
