SM UB-55 was a German U-boat (Type UB II) that sank in 1917 after colliding with the British light cruiser HMS *Boulogne*. It was lost off the coast of Dover, England, with no survivors from the U-boat's crew of 32; the *Boulogne* was also sunk in the incident. The wreck holds historical significance as one of the few confirmed U-boat losses in the English Channel during World War I.
