Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Skye, Cnocan Nan Cobhar, Kilmarie as Chambered Cairn (neolithic), Short Cist (bronze Age), Beaker (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn with later Bronze Age additions including a short cist and Beaker burials. It reflects the long-term use of the site for ritual and funerary purposes in the prehistoric landscape of the Scottish Highlands.
