Skibo Castle, Garden holds a modern pavilion beside the castle in Sutherland, built after 1901. The structure still stands within the castle grounds, suggesting people continued to shape and enjoy the land long after the main building rose. Perhaps visitors still gather there to watch weather move across the valley or to sit with the quiet company of a place that has been tended for generations.

Skibo Castle was built in the 19th century by Sir Robert McAlister, later 1st Baron Seaforth, and is remembered for its association with the McAlister family and its prominent role in Scottish aristocratic and architectural history. The castle and its extensive gardens are also notable for their later ownership by American industrialist Andrew Carnegie, who used it as a private estate.
