What is recorded here

Sketrick Island holds the ruined remains of a 15th-century tower house, perched between two modern yacht clubs on the western shore of Strangford Lough. The stark stones overlook water where the Petrel lightship still drifts, linking medieval defence to contemporary leisure. What the castle guarded is no longer certain, but its survival beside active moorings suggests the sea has always favoured human ambition in this narrow bay.
Sketrick Island is recorded as a island in County Down. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
