Site of Ancient Irish Dwelling is a hut site in Islandikane East, Islandikane South, County Waterford, Ireland. This oval dwelling lies within a grass-covered enclosure on Sheep Island, a landmass that is being eroded into two islands by the sea while the defences of the associated promontory fort remain on the mainland.
Lying partly on Sheep Island which is being eroded into two islands by the sea, the defences of promotory fort (WA026-036001-) are on the mainland. The island, now inaccessible, has an oval hut site within a grass-covered enclosure (Westropp 1914-16, 222).
