Why this matters

Simon Fell is a minor sub-peak of Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales, rising to approximately 695 metres. It is composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone and is part of the iconic landscape that has inspired both geological study and local folklore, including tales of ancient hermitages and ghostly sightings. Its prominence contributes to the cultural and natural heritage of the Dales, attracting hikers and historians alike.
