Silver Spray

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Silver Spray as Motor Fishing Vessel (period Unassigned)-(1979). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Silver Spray was a motor fishing vessel built in the early 20th century and registered in Scotland. It was lost in 1979 when it sank in the Firth of Clyde during a storm, resulting in the deaths of three crew members; the vessel was carrying a modest cargo of scallops at the time.
