Kilmainhamwood held a Sheela-na-gig buried in a churchyard near the railway station at least forty years before Guest recorded her in 1935. The stone woman waited beneath soil and forgetting, her laughter hidden but never absent. She reveals that boundaries between counties and centuries remain porous when memory refuses to leave the body behind.
