What is recorded here
In 1688 Kilkenny Corporation granted a lease for 'a waste in St. Ciaran's Well' to a William Jackson on condition that he establish a 'fish shambles' there. This seems to have been located between Kyteler's Inn and no. 27 St. Kieran's Street (Farrelly et al. 1993, 95).
