Sgòrr Sgàileach is shown as a headland on the public map of Highland. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Sgòrr Sgàileach is a prominent headland composed primarily of basalt, formed during the Paleogene period through volcanic activity associated with the North Atlantic Igneous Province. Its resistant rock formations create a striking coastal feature, typical of the basaltic landscapes found in parts of the Scottish Highlands.
