Bellhill in County Offaly holds a double-banked enclosure, a low motte and the broken base of a round tower, yet no visible church remains to explain them. Tradition credits St Kieran the Elder with founding the site in the fifth century, while a later inquisition reduced it to a thatched house, six cottages and a small tower. The earthworks still distinguish inside from outside, preserving the shape of a place that changed hands, purposes and names until humanity stopped repeating its story.

Unlocated deserted medieval settlement possible that is described as a village in the townland of Kilcorbry c. 1550 (Byrne and Scully n.d. 15-17).
